Growth & Frontend for the Largest Distributed Graph Database

Background

Dgraph is the most starred distributed graph database on GitHub, with clients including Uber, Tesla, and Philips. As part of their move away from contracting a design agency, I was brought on to take full ownership of their website and blog.

At the time, the site and blog combined were seeing approximately 144.4K monthly views.

Growth & Impact

After a full rebuild of the site with technical SEO best practices, the website averaged 358.9k pageviews. Working closely with the marketing team, we used Hotjar to analyze user behavior through heatmaps and identify areas for improvement. The goal was to increase enterprise leads and overall site performance.

The results:

  • ~800% increase in enterprise leads
  • 95% growth in Dgraph Cloud (SaaS) signups
  • 148.5% growth in organic traffic
